Stealth File Share Tutorial

Use Stealth File Share to send files privately — similar to WeTransfer, but decentralized and encrypted.

Step 1 – Upload a File

Click “Upload File” and choose any document, image, or archive from your computer.

Step 2 – Encrypt the File

Crosterix encrypts your file locally using Lit Protocol. A unique key is generated, and only the chosen wallet can decrypt it.

Step 3 – Store Decentralized

The encrypted file is uploaded to Lighthouse (IPFS). Crosterix never stores the file — it only stores the IPFS CID in Supabase for expiry tracking.

Step 4 – Generate Private Link

After upload, you receive a short link like:

https://app.crosterix.io/share/bafkre...#key=0x...

Only the wallet that owns the decryption key can open this link.

Step 5 – Set Expiration

Choose how long the link stays valid (for example 24 hours or 1 download). After expiry, the link automatically stops working.
